Participatory ecologist Michael Swierz uses his body to foster mutual relationship and communication between human and non-human beings both on and off the grid through poetry, making and participatory membership in ecology. He also collaborates with Deep Time Chicago. He offered the following prompt as part of his Case Study in the Haus der Kulturen der Welt's "The Shape of a Practice" symposium in October 2020:

Seed #3 – Other-Feeling (Sentiō)
What do other species feel? Do they experience different emotions we don’t have? Do they have the same feelings we experience? Pick a species or group of species. In any way of your choosing, attempt to capture an emotion you witness being felt by the species and communicate it so that other people are able to experience it, too. Is the emotion new to you? Have you felt it before? How does it make you feel?
